Storefront is seeking an ambitious, visionary Director with the will and courage to strengthen Storefront's position as an innovative and fearless platform for debate around contemporary art and architecture, and, in cooperation with the gallery's Board, to develop and implement a powerful artistic vision.

The Director is expected to expend his or her full professional time and efforts to advance the interests of Storefront and assure its proper management. The duties of the Director include managing Storefront's programs and operations, identifying opportunities for extending Storefront's mission through the development of new programs and initiatives, fundraising for programs and operations (in concert with the Board), hiring and managing Storefront's staff, attending all meetings of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee, and working with the various Board committees to advance the objectives of the institution.

The successful candidate will have: an international perspective and network of contacts in the realms of both art and architecture; excellent interpersonal skills; experience in innovative communication and media praxis; a talent for organization and considerable personal drive; an acute understanding of and commitment to fundraising for the gallery's programs and operations; the desire and ability to closely collaborate with Storefront for Art and Architecture's Board of Directors.


Benefits and salary
The successful candidate's salary will be determined in conjunction with the Search Committee and will reflect his or her experience. Medical insurance will be provided.
